Michael Anthony Adams, Jr. is originally from Whittier, CA. He's the author of two novels, five collections of short stories, seven collections of poetry, and a memoir. He holds a master’s degree in Philosophy from the New School for Social Research in New York City. As a teenager, he was the lead vocalist and lyricist for Richmond, VA-based hardcore band Broken Chains of Segregation. He’s the founder of Ursprung Collective, a spoken word/music project referred to as “fantastic brain food” on ReverbNation. He was the primary lyricist on indie rock group One & the Many’s first two albums, Forms and Hours. His writing has appeared in the Santa Fe Literary Review, The Stray Branch, Badlands Literary Journal, and more. He currently lives with his partner and collaborator, artist PJ Adams, and their children in Baltimore, MD.
